More Info About Our Young Eagles Flights 

Please click here to see the upcoming Young Eagle flight rallies. These events are held at various airports in the south-central Wisconsin area including our Chapter 93 home location at Middleton Municipal Airport.  Please be sure you know the location of the event and plan your travel time accordingly.  Times on the signup are approximate. Kids 8 -17 are eligible for these free flights with an on-site parent or guardian to sign the permission slip. 

Flights are limited to seats available and rides are not guaranteed. Weight and mobility limitations apply- compliance with pilot and ground crew instructions is required for EVERYONE’S safety. Not everyone will get to sit up front. No food or drink in the aircraft. Pilots REALLY appreciate clean hands and faces in our aircraft. No guarantees are provided that aircraft are free from allergens (peanut and otherwise).

If the weather is bad or the winds are high, we cannot fly — safety first! Check our social media (links below) for the go / no-go status on the morning of the event.  Got it? Great! A little more detail: Each trip will take approximately 20 minutes- Actual time in the air will vary. Some planes carry only one Young Eagle at a time, others carry up to three. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your requested time so we can do the paperwork. Bring your cell and/or camera — LOTS of smiles to capture 🙂

Young Eagles Weather Minimums

Please note that minimum weather conditions are required to provide a safe flight.  Requirements include VFR, +10 degrees F (or +5 degrees F wind chill), 1,500′ ceilings, 6 mile visibility, no more than 10 knot crosswinds, no more than 20 knot winds including gusts.
